Meet The Coaches

Coach Jamaal Fudge

  • Coach Fudge is excited to begin his first year as head coach with NFEI. He has been coaching in the Jacksonville area for 10 years, with his most recent stent at Fleming Island High School as the Defensive Backs coach in 2021.
  • Coach Fudge, a Jacksonville native, was a multi-sport athlete earning Team MVP in Football at Ed White High School.
  • He also achieved all-district, all-area and all-conference as a junior and senior earning him a 4 year scholarship to Clemson University.
  • During his time there, he was a 3 year starter and lead the Tigers in interceptions 3 of those 4 years, while earning Team Captain his Senior year and graduating with a Bachelor’s in Sport Management.
  • After college, Coach Fudge spent 4 years in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2006-2008) and the Atlanta Falcons (2008-2009).
  • He has also played in the CFL (Saskatchewan Roughriders – 20210) and the AFL (New Orleans Voodoo-2011, Jacksonville Sharks-2012).

Coach Dee Webb

  • Webb a Jacksonville Native, was three-year starter, and was named The Florida Times-Union player of the year after scoring eight times on defense and also serving as the The Ed White Commanders starting quarterback.
  • USA Today named him its high school All-American team and rivals.com ranked him as the number two cornerback prospect in the country.
  • Webb obtained an athletic scholarship to the University of Florida. As a junior in 2005, he started twelve games at cornerback, led the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in passes defended, and was a first-team All-SEC selection.
  • Webb was selected in the 2006 draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars and played professionally in the NFL, AFL and CFL.

 

Coach Tim McMillan

  • Played 2 years at Edward Waters University
  • Started at slot WR as a true freshman and sophomore season
  • Also saw time returning punts
  • Began coaching in 2015 at Woodland Acres Athletic Association at the 8U Level
  • Coach Pop Warner at WEsted (2017-2020) and Forestview (2022) for 5 years, winning 4 City Championships, 1 National Title and was a 2x Regional runner-up.
  • Including the first ever might-mite City Championship (2017)
  • Undefeated Champs in 2019 (19-0), went on to win National Championship in Orlando, FL at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (2019)
  • Finished 2020 as City Champs & Regional Runner-Up
  • Finished 2022 as City Champs & Regional Runner-Up at FVAA
Coach Michael Wright

  • Coach Wright is a William M Raines alumni c/o 96′.
  • He played collegiate football at Edward Waters College (now University).
  • He began coaching at M.O.T. – Mentors of Tomorrow, winning one championship as offensive coordinator.
  • Wright also went on to win 2 city championships and one National at Westside Athletic Association, later to win another city as well as a UYFL National Championship as defensive coordinator with the Duval Jags.
  • In addition, Coach Wright spent 2 years as Defensive Coordinator at Zarephath Christian Academy, also going to State and completing the season as a runner up.
Coach Lou Davis

  • Lou Davis was born in Miami, FL he graduated from Miami Southridge Senior High in 1992.
  • He also graduated from Bethune-Cookman University  and majored in Criminal Justice ( c/o 1999).
  • 8th grade Best All Around Athlete – Mays Jr. HIgh
  • Miami Coral Park Football FS/QB Varsity
  • PG Basketball Bethune-Cookman University Intramural Champions 93-95.
  • Began coaching PHCA 2009-2015 Running back/Assistant Head Coach/Counselor/Mentor
  • 3x National Association Christian Athlete Champions (10′, 11′, 15′)
  • During tenure assisted countless athletes sign college scholarships.
  • Assisted, trained sevel running backs that gained over 1100 from scrimmage.
  • NFEI Running backs/ Assistant Head Coach/Mentor/Public Relations, various roles and responsibilities
  Coach Bryan Evans

  • Coaching experience : 10 years
  • College: University of Georgia
  • Professional: NFL-Cincinnati Bengals
  • CFL – Montreal Alouettes
 

Coach Tim Patterson

  • Tim Patterson is the former Head Coach of The Potter’s House Christian Academy (2008-2015). He posts a record of 52-34.
  • Coach Patterson teams won 4 National Association Christian Athlete Championships (08′, 10′, 11′, 15′) During his tenure at PHCA, over 30 student athletes signed athletic scholarships.
  • Coach Patterson began his coaching career at Jean Ribault in 2005-2007 as the Defense Coordinator.
  • After leaving PHCA in 2015, he coached at Terry Parker in 2016.
  • Over the last 3 years Coach Patterson has worked with NFEI in various roles to help develop the program.
  • Coach Patterson is a graduate of Bethune-Cookman University.
  • He is a 4 year letterman at DE/DT.
  • His son is currently a LB at Towson University.

Coach Darrell Eakins Jr. Bio:

  • Coach eakins was a multi-sport athlete (Football and Track & Field at Ed White High School.
  • Coach Eakins achieved a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronic Engineering technology from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
  • For several years, Eakins was a volunteer coach under City Streets 2 Student Athletes, Inc emphasizing the importance of a proper balance between the student’s scholastic and athletic endeavors.
  • For several years, Eakins  was a youth football coach at Sweetwater Athletic Association where he mentored the youth using football as a platform to mold athleticism, character, and fortitude. Eakins led the defense and finished as 2x City Champs.
  • A native of Jacksonville, Coach Eakins is married to Lauren Eakins and has two children Lindsey and Darrell III.
  • Coach Eakins is a proud memeber of the award-winning Jacksonville (FL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
